Try Stranger Talk freeWhy people look for an Emerald Chat alternative
Everyone has their own reason. Some people don't want video at all and only want to type. Some don't want to create an account just to try a chat. Some want to talk to a specific friend in a private room, or hang out in a group about something they love. And some just want a site that feels lighter on a slow phone connection.

Emerald Chat vs Stranger Talk: the honest difference
Emerald Chat is built around random video and text chat with extra features on top. Stranger Talk keeps it narrow on purpose: text only, no sign-up, and a few ways to meet people (random, private code, groups and travel chat). If you want face-to-face video, Stranger Talk isn't the right fit, and that's fine. If you want to talk without being seen, it's built for exactly that.
